Events Intern

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as an events intern. Working as a core member of the Development team, the postholder will work alongside colleagues to help co-ordinate Children & the Arts’ fundraising efforts, with a specific focus on events.

Reporting to: Development Coordinator
Salary: £7.20 per hour
Contract: Following a two-week trial the successful candidate will join the team for three months on a three day a week contract (there is some flexibility depending on candidate’s availability)
Hours: 9.30am-5.30pm (1hr for lunch), with occasional evenings
Location: Children & the Arts, Oxford House in Bethnal Green, Derbyshire Street, London E2 6HG

What to expect from Children & the Arts:

  • To gain experience working in a significant children’s arts education charity
  • To gain experience in fundraising events and fundraising more generally, including: 
    • Event management including promotion, ticket sales, advert sales and event literature
    • Prospect research
    • Database management (Raiser’s Edge)
    • General administration
