We are delighted to be working with 20 arts partners across the UK to deliver Start and plan to expand our programme in the future.  Here is how you can be part of it.

If you are an arts venue:

We work in close partnership with arts venues to deliver high quality arts projects to schools.  Children & the Arts offers our partners funding, support and expertise to develop new projects with big impact.

Start opens for applications from arts venues once a year.  The application process usually opens in January and closes in April, but this is subject to change each year.  Applications may be geographically targeted, depending on organisational priorities.

It is a two-stage application process which requires potential partners to give details of the programme they would deliver, the schools they would work with and the impact it would have in their community.

If you would like to be informed when the application process opens and whether or not you are eligible to apply, please email [email protected] with some information about your organisation, including your location and contact details.

If you are a school:

Schools are invited to participate in Start in consultation with arts partners, so a school can not apply directly.  However, if you are interested in taking part we would love to hear from you, in case opportunities open up in your area.  Please email [email protected] with some information about your school, including your location and contact details.

Make sure you look at our resources - we have produced resources across many different art forms to support your teaching.
