It was Children & the Arts' 12th annual carol concert on Monday 3 December. The evening was expertly hosted by Myleene Klass and featured readers from renowned British actors and music from award-winning musicians and choirs.

Jeremy Irons, Patricia Routledge,  Sheila Atim and Natascha McEhlone.

Highlights of the evening included seasonal readings from charity Ambassadors Jeremy Irons, who read from Luke's Bible, Brian Blessed who brought the house down with his rendition of A Visit from St Nicholas and Dame Patricia Routledge who performed A.A. Milne's King John's Christmas.

Hosted by Myleene Klass, the concert was full with festive favourites, with performances from soprano Margaret Keys and singer, pianist and songwriter Joe Stilgoe. Amongst the traditional carols, Myleene Klass delighted with a performance of Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree with Freshfields, Lexis Nexis Choir and CMS Chorale. The audience was also treated to songs performed by schoolchildren from Tottenham who are part of St Paul’s and All Hallows’ School Gospel Choir.

Actress Sheila Atim gave a beautiful reading of A Winter's Truce, while Natascha McEhlone enchanted the crowd with her reading of The Journey of The Magi.

The Children & the Arts Carol Concert will be broadcast as part of Classic FM's Christmas programming at 5.30pm on Christmas Eve if you missed being a part of the live audience or to relive the concert from start to finish.
