The second annual Children & the Arts Quiz Night & Auction raised over £60,000 for Start Hospices on Monday 8 May.

Held in partnership with Rosewood London, guests enjoyed a delicious three course dinner alongside a fiendish quiz in the hotel’s grand ballroom. The quiz even included a music round with a live a cappella performance by We3 that had the whole room singing along to Shania Twain!

After dinner, Children & the Arts beneficiary, Jo Snow, reminded everyone where their money was going by sharing her experiences of Start Hospices at Charlton Farm Hospice with her three children Stella, Lexi and Felix.

Christie’s auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades, and Children & the Arts Ambassador, Adrian Lester, hosted an auction of luxury experiences, including a stunning over-water villa in the Maldives, behind the scenes experience at the Royal Opera House and a specially commissioned ‘Wind in the Willows’ illustration by Ambassador Sir Quentin Blake CBE.

Every penny raised on the night will go towards Children & the Arts’ Start Hospices Programme, which creates opportunities for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families to enjoy family days out at local arts venues, where they can enjoy time together and fun experiences as a whole family, away from the challenges of their daily lives.
