On Sunday 8 October we got up bright and early to cheer on the wonderful people who ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon to raise support for Children & the Arts.

Amongst the 16,000 runners who took part, our team did an amazing job! Between them, our runners ran over 144 miles and so far they have raised a fantastic amount of over £6,500 towards our work across the UK in schools and children’s hospices. Thank you, and well done to Georgie, Andrew, Kaitlin, Meaghan, Michelle, Dan, Bartosz, Sam, Noah, Valerio and Monika! Every penny you raised supports our vision for brighter, healthier, and happier children through the power of an inclusive and accessible arts sector.

One of the capital’s most popular events, the course is a beautiful tour through London’s parks and passes by several landmarks including Marble Arch, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament. The support team positioned themselves by Hyde Park's Bandstand to shout encouragement to the runners and enjoy the brass band play all morning.

This year's race was kindly supported by Abel & Cole and RudeHealth who shared some of their healthy treats with our runners. Find out more about them online.
