Children & the Arts was thrilled to be chosen as the beneficiary charity for Celebrating David Bowie a one-time only series of concerts honouring David Bowie’s 70th birthday, featuring Bowie’s band members, friends and a massive ensemble of world-renowned musicians.

A host of stars turned out to concerts in London, LA and New York to celebrate David Bowie and help raise money for Children & the Arts. All the venues for the tour were in cities that have a strong connection with David Bowie and his work. The London concert, which took place in Bowie’s birthplace Brixton with a special guest appearance by Gary Oldman, sold out in less than two hours, whilst the LA Concert featured artists such as Sting and Gavin Rossdale.

The Celebrating David Bowie tour has raised nearly £16,000 so far to help Children & the Arts continue increasing access to the arts for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

A huge thank you to everyone involved with Celebrating David Bowie!
