Schools: join our Quest projects!

We are currently selecting schools to participate in our 2012/2013 Quest projects.

We allow schools the opportunity to form partnerships with their local arts venue.  We look to work with schools who have a high proportion of pupil’s eligible for free school meals, with English as a foreign language or with special educational needs, and who do not currently have a relationship with the partner arts venue.

All Quest projects involve two visits to an arts venue, a teacher training day and in-school workshops by arts professionals.

Great Art Quest

Great Art Quest is a visual art and storytelling project.  The project will culminate in a professional exhibition by participating children in the partner gallery.

In 2012/13 Great Art Quest is taking place in: Cartwright Hall, Bradford; The Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield; The Queen’s Gallery, Edinburgh; South London Gallery.

DanceQuest is an exciting national dance project for 11-13 year olds.  The children involved will experience two high quality live dance performances, participate in 6 workshops with dance professionals within school, and will take part in a final sharing performance.

In 2012/13 DanceQuest is taking place in: Festival City Theatres Trust, Edinburgh; The Lowry, Salford; The Hippodrome, Birmingham; Sadler’s Wells, London.

PoetryQuest is a project that introduces year 5 and 6 pupils to performance poetry. Participants will see a profession al poetry performance, work with two local poets and the project finishes with children performing their own verse on stage at their partner venue.

In 2012/13 PoetryQuest is taking place in: King’s Place, London; Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester; Stamford Arts Centre, Lincolnshire.
