Catalyst Teacher Training

Catalyst is a programme of inspiring arts based teacher training days throughout the UK for Key Stage 2.

Each day focuses on two art forms, and teachers will work work with professional artists in hands on workshops to develop practical skills and activities.

Catalyst days are designed to build teachers’ your confidence in using the arts across the curriculum and demonstrate practical activities to use in the classroom. Each participant is given a resource book covering activities employing all 6 art forms: music, dance, poetry, storytelling, theatre and the visual arts.

Children & the Arts have been running Catalyst days across the UK for 5 years. In 2012, 99% of teachers felt more confident teaching the arts after attending a Catalyst day.

Thanks to generous support from Euroclear, each day is only £85 per person, including our 120 page resources book and lunch. Watch this space for news of upcoming catalyst days.
