Ode to a Nightingale
Annual exhibition of art treasures from
our own collections.This year we are
marking the centenary of an interesting
collection of paintings, donated in 1908 by
Edward Nightingale. He was an important
local businessman with a love of art and
donated his paintings to “form the nucleus
of a really good and instructive series of
art productions, which a town of such
importance as Rotherham should possess”.
