Their Royal Highnesses attend a concert for 200 children

On Friday 14th November 2008 TRH The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, The Duchess of Cornwall attended a concert for nearly 200 children from schools across the country which have taken part in music programmes run by The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts at the Paul Hamlyn Hall, the Royal Opera House, London.

The concert, took place on The Prince of Wales’s 60th birthday. The Philharmonia Orchestra was conducted by Owain Arwel Hughes and Claire Jones, official harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales also performed.  During the concert a number of children sung Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales before HRH was presented with ‘The Birthday Book’ by Michael Morpurgo and Quentin Blake.

Their Royal Highnesses met the Orchestra and children in the audience and joined a reception for supporters of the charity.
