Children & the Arts are delighted to announce the recruitment of 16 new arts partners to work with us in delivering our Start programme for 2008/09 to children around the UK. The 16 new arts partners will join the existing 31 arts organisations already working with Children & the Arts on Start to ensure access to the arts for 22,000 children who currently receive little or no arts provision.

Those selected include; The Norwich Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse, Hampstead Theatre, South London Gallery, The Gate Theatre,  Jack Drum Arts, Seven Stories, Mid Pennine Arts, The Drumcroon Gallery, South Lanarkshire Council,  Citizens Theatre, Gulbenkian Theatre, Egg Theatre at Theatre Royal Bath, Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Ikon Gallery and Northern Ballet Theatre.

  

For the academic year 2008/09 Children & the Arts Start programme will be working with a total of 47 arts organisations, and over 22,000 children.  It absolutely fantastic to be working with such a strong and diverse group of venues and we look forward to seeing the results.
