Prema’s come over all Jurassic and a bit supernatural this Autumn – maybe it’s the longer evenings, the gravestones and our big excitement at the return of Nic Beard and his group of animators from The Paper Cinema. The PC Gang use drawings and paper to create eerie, atmospheric films. Today they take you on a journey into the world of creaky bones, between the cracks in the rocks to help you locate the things which go bump in the night.

Tales From the Shed

9 Sep 11 – 29 Oct 11, 11.30am on Friday, 10am and 11.30am on Saturday at Chickenshed, London. £5.50 (ages 0-7)

Step into a world of music and magic – Tales from the Shed brings stories, both original and traditional, to life in a land of colour, characters and fun. This interactive performance for the under 7’s introduces them to a universe where there is no edge to the stage, so children and performers travel a theatrical journey together.
The Tales from the Shed format allows the Tales team to react to the children’s thoughts, experiences and requests and to use them within the show.  No show will ever be the same – so for first time visitors or serial guests – another tale is now beginning!!

The Day of the Dead

Doors open at 6:30; Performance starts at 7:30pm, Ancient Technology Centre, Canborne. Adults: £10 and Children (10 – 14yrs): £5. Not suitable for under 10.

This year, the Crick Crack Club’s quirky and bizarre homage to this Mexican festival, will come to the Ancient Technology Centre’s Earth House in Cranborne. Performance storytellers Ben Haggarty, TUUP and Xanthe Gresham will dig deep into their potent repertoires to dance hand-in-hand with that dynamic trio – God, the Devil and Death. Here dead ancestors are honoured and Death is mocked, cheated and saluted by turn.
Join us for what promises to be a sometimes poignant, sometimes irreverent, evening of stories selected in response to, or simply bent to fit, The Day of the Dead. Expect ritual, stories, and magical mayhem…

Hansel & Gretal

5.00pm, The Bacon Theatre, Cheltenham. Adults £10.00, Children and concessions £8.00, Family ticket £32.00 (ages 5-11)
