Wednesday sees the official launch of Face Britain, a groundbreaking collaborative art project from The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts.

Taking place at the Imagination Gallery with a whole host of famous faces and special guests, the launch will see speeches from child TV star Daniel Roche (Outnumbered, Just William) and the Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries Ed Vaizey.  In addition, there will be a very special recorded message from His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

Already over 1,000 schools have expressed interest in taking part in Face Britain, and more than 30 celebrities have promised to create their own self portrait to support the project.  After the launch schools will be able to start uploading their self portraits to what will by March 2012 become the largest online exhibition in the UK.
