Royal Art for Sale
Several works of art by Royal artists are being sold in support of The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts.
The exhibition at the Belgravia Gallery in Central London features signed lithographs by HRH The Prince of Wales himself, as well as several original etchings and lithographs by HM Queen Victoria and HRH Prince Albert which date from the 1840’s.The lithographs by HRH The Prince of Wales are taken from his original watercolour paintings. They cover subjects such as the beautiful Royal Residencies of Balmoral, Sandringham, Highgrove and Windsor Castle, together with landscapes of the Prince’s favourite places, including Yorkshire, Greece, Klosters, Arabia and Scotland, capturing the natural beauty and majesty of his surroundings.
The collection of artworks by Victoria and Albert once belonged to the Duchess of Sutherland (1806-1868), Queen Victoria’s closest friend and confidante. Many of them depict members of the Royal Family and their pet dogs. The Collection includes an original watercolour painted by Victoria whilst still a Princess.
Profits from sales of work from the exhibition (which runs until April 1st) will be donated to Children & the Arts.
