MusicQuest Finale Concerts Tour the Country
MusicQuest reaches 15,000 children at the end of its third year
January saw MusicQuest - Children & the Arts’ orchestral project funded by Classic FM Music Makers and supported by Yamaha Music UK - reach the end of its third year with a series of finale concerts across the UK.
MusicQuest introduces children between the ages of 7 and 11 to classical music and encourages teachers to use music in their everyday teaching practice. This year members of the Philharmonia Orchestra travelled to Hull, Derby, Swansea, Croydon and Hastings delivering workshops in schools and performing at concert hall venues for all the children involved. Over three years MusicQuest will has provided 15,000 children with a classical music experience. For many this has been their first taste of an orchestra.
