Support Our Half Marathon Runners
On Sunday 11th October a team of eighteen runners are taking part in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on behalf of Children & the Arts in an attempt to raise over £10,000 for the charity. This is the first year that Children & the Arts have entered the race which takes place just round the corner from the CATA office, running through St James’ Park, Green Park and Hyde Park. The team includes friends of the charity, staff members and even Children & the Arts’ CEO Jeremy Newton who was roped in soon after the joined the charity in February. The funds raised will allow access for over three hundred children from economically and socially deprived areas of the UK to a year-long programme of professional arts workshops and cultural visits as part of Children & the Arts’ Start programme.
To support our runners then please visit www.everyclick.com/jeremynewton where all sponsorship will be gratefully received on behalf of the whole team. If you want to come along and cheer our runners then the race starts at 9.30 on Sunday morning, and can be best viewed from trackside close to Hyde Park Corner tube station.
