During the 2007/08 academic year, Start will allow 34 arts organisations in the UK to work with over 17,200 children.

Our new newsletter is jam packed with Children & the Arts Autumn updates. Kate Adie, one of Children’s & the Arts Ambassadors looks back to her hometown of Sunderland in our autumn editorial, and highlights the impossible situation of so many towns across the UK where cultural venues are ignore or underused by their populations. Kate also announces the launch of our Second year of Start, Children & the Arts’ core programme.Other news items include Classic FM Arts & Kids Week which begins on Friday, and StoryQuest, Children & the Arts’ festival of storytelling which launches at the beginning of November with Family Storytelling day on 2nd.
